ARM2DAB Mobile DAB Measurement Antenna
The ARM2DAB is a professional mobile omnidirectional antenna with magnetic base, specifically designed for radio-frequency measurement and monitoring while the vehicle is moving. It covers the complete DAB VHF Band III from 174 to 240 MHz, corresponding to a continuous operating bandwidth of 66 MHz and including all DAB blocks from 5A to 13F.
Its independent ground plane and omnidirectional radiation pattern provide uniform 360° horizontal coverage without requiring the antenna to be continuously repositioned. Typical applications include mobile field-strength surveys, DAB network verification, spectrum monitoring, interference investigation and professional measurements performed from equipped vehicles.
Rapid installation is achieved through three high-strength magnets positioned at 120° beneath the reference ground plate. When correctly installed on a suitable ferromagnetic vehicle surface, the antenna is designed for operation at vehicle speeds of up to 120 km/h.
A full UPVC protective radome protects the radiating structure against weather and mechanical impacts. All metallic parts are electrically connected to ground in a DC-grounded configuration.
Professional Applications of the ARM2DAB
- DAB measurements on the move: continuous monitoring from equipped vehicles
- Field-strength surveys: verification of received DAB signal levels across the service area
